Since the launch of the Marilyn Bell electric ferry, we have been able to share our experience and encourage others in the industry to invest in electric alternatives. As a result, our partners at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport will be introducing new electric shuttle buses in mid-2024 – effectively greening all modes of transportation to the airport under our control. In fact, in 2023, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport was awarded an Airports Going Green Honorable Mention in recognition of its project to make access to the airport electric, representing outstanding achievement in pursuit of sustainability within the aviation industry. The Marilyn Bell conversion project was the catalyst for this change and we could not be prouder to celebrate it.”
